Hello, my name is Toby Militao, and I am the Director of Militao Carpentry Limited, as well as the owner of multiple businesses. With over a decade of experience in carpentry, business management, and entrepreneurship, I have built a reputation for delivering high-quality craftsmanship while efficiently managing and growing successful businesses across different industries.
From an early age, I had a deep passion for working with wood, which led me to pursue a career in carpentry. I have always enjoyed the process of designing, creating, and refining wooden structures and furniture. After finishing school, I attended college to develop my skills further and gained professional qualifications in carpentry, earning both a City & Guilds Foundation Construction Award in Carpentry and a City & Guilds Intermediate Construction Award in Site Carpentry. These qualifications provided me with a strong technical foundation and enabled me to gain valuable hands-on experience in the industry.
Before establishing my own business, I worked with several joinery and shopfitting companies, where I gained essential knowledge about various aspects of the trade, from precise craftsmanship to large-scale commercial projects. Working in different areas of the industry allowed me to refine my skills and develop a deep understanding of what it takes to create high-quality carpentry solutions.
In 2011, I took the leap and started my own carpentry business, initially working independently and focusing on small, bespoke projects. I was committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer service. My goal was to build a trusted reputation within the industry and establish a company known for its high standards.
As demand for my work grew, so did my vision for the business. In 2019, I rebranded from T Militao Carpentry to Militao Carpentry Limited, marking a significant milestone in our journey. This transformation allowed us to expand our operations and build a dedicated team of skilled carpenters and craftsmen. Today, we specialize in designing and constructing custom-built wardrobes, cabinets, bookcases, kitchens, and various other high-end carpentry projects. Each piece is crafted with care and precision, ensuring a balance of functionality and aesthetics.
